Star Trek Officially Drops 5 New Releases November 9

Star Trek may be in shaky territory as a franchise right now, but that isn't preventing new releases from pouring out. On November 9 specifically, fans of Captain Kirk, Spock, and TOS as a whole are in for a real treat.

Nerds and geeks everywhere had already been looking forward to the upcoming Star Trek and Magic: The Gathering crossover coming out on November 13, but now "Set Phasers to Superdrop" is also set to release just a few days earlier. And while TOS is definitely the focus, there are also some treats in store for fans of Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks.

Star Trek Returns on November 9 With New Kirk and Spock Releases

On October 27, Wizards of the Coast announced the "Set Phasers to Superdrop" crossover between Magic: The Gathering and Star Trek, set to come out on November 9. This release comes in five parts, but fans of the entire franchise will want to get their hands on all of them.

"It appears this Superdrop debrief experienced a minor transporter issue, but there's nothing to be alarmed about," the official description reads. "You'll receive one (1) foil Return of the Wildspeaker as "Transporter Boondoggle" promo card for every $199.99 spent while supplies last."

The five parts of this release are titled: "Secret Lair x Star Trek: New Worlds," "Secret Lair x Star Trek: Beam Me Up," "Secret Lair x Star Trek: TihIngan Mah," "Secret Lair x Star Trek: KHAAAAAAAAN," and "Secret Lair x Star Trek: Lower Decks." The first set are special mana cards inspired by Strange New Worlds, the final set is naturally all about Lower Decks, another focuses on the Klingons, and the other two are all about TOS, with one taking inspiration from the original television series, and the other being based on, naturally Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

Each of these five releases is available for $29.99 for the non-foil version, or $39.99 for the foil version. To get their hands on these releases, fans will want to make a Wizards account, enter the pre-queue at 8am PT on November 9, an hour before the sale goes live, and be quick once the sale gets underway, as adding products to their cart will not reserve them.
