Off-road exploration game ‘Over the Hill’ launched last week, and it’s fair to say it’s been quite the road trip for developer Funselektor with the game reaching over 250,000 players.

Per a recent post via Steam, Funselektor has shared how happy they are with the player response to the game, saying “We were blown away by your response to the release of over the hill – thank you so much! We’re truly grateful for all your support, so we’ve been working to bring you some of the improvements and fixes you asked for as quickly as possible.“

As such, on Friday October 16th, the first post-launch patch arrived, with updates to fix a number of issues affecting players, from reworked camera collision logic, adjusted meteorite spawn points and even a streamer mode. The full patch notes can be found here, if you’re interested.

I was pretty pleased with Over the Hill in my time with the game, playing multiplayer throughout the review period. “Ultimately, Over the Hill is a lovely little adventure that understands the simple joy of heading out into the wilderness and seeing what you stumble across. For me, it’s at its best when you’re tackling its trickier trails with friends, where a seemingly straightforward expedition can quickly descend into a chaotic and often hilarious rescue mission where you’ll be eating popcorn by the bucket-load.“
